Team Parker Racing take double pole position for Mondays two one hour races at Oulton Park for the opening round of the season as Parfitt and Morris dominate. Black Bull Garage 59 and Century Motorsport take both pole positions in GT4.

It was the Am drivers up first in GT3 for the first of two 10 minute qualifying sessions. The session was red flagged early on as Derek Johnston stranded the car at Lodge and was forced to pull out of the session. The Aston Martin will start at the back of the grid for Monday’s first race. The rest of the quick fire session saw times traded between Parfitt and Minshaw. Parfitt struck the first blow, posting a time of 1:35.715 before Minshaw responded to go four tenths quicker. But it was on the last lap of the session, Parfitt went eight tenths quicker than his previous pole time and four tenths quicker than Minshaw to take pole position as the chequered flag fell with a time of 1:34.932. Mitchell put the Macmillan AMR Aston in third position with Liam Griffin taking fourth place in the #6 Barwell Huracan.

Morris dominated the Pro qualifying session, putting in a lap time of 1:32.993 and setting a new GT3 record around Oulton Park in the process, no previous drivers have managed to break the 1:33 barrier. Phil Keen came close, putting in a time of 1:33.128. Championship new comer Sam Tordoff took third place late in the session, posting a time of 1:33.343. He will start alongside Calum Macleod in the #7 Bentley Continental GT3. Jon Barnes set the initial pole time but was unable to match the pace of the front runners late in the session.
